Last time on Nolte Analytics’ coverage of the Corporate Transparency Act, a nationwide preliminary injunction halted enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act’s reporting requirements.
On February 18, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas lifted the nationwide injunction, and the beneficial ownership information reporting requirements are once again in effect for most companies. The reporting deadline is now March 21, 2025 for most companies.
On February 28, they further announced they would not be assessing penalties and fines for companies that had not filed timely under the original rules.
They cannot seem to make up their minds.
